In match week 22 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League on Monday afternoon at El-Wak Stadium in Accra, Legon Cities defeated leaders Aduana FC with goals in both halves.

Midfielder Michel Otou scored twice, helping his team secure their first win in five league games. Aduana FC, on the other hand, have now lost two out of their last three games.

The win has elevated the Royals from second to bottom, 17th position, to 14th position with 26 points, while the Fire boys remain top of the league with 39 points.

Otou opened the scoring in the 8th minute, and with 10 minutes remaining in the game, he calmly converted a penalty to double the advantage for Maxwell Konadu's men. The hosts held on to claim the win over Paa Kwesi Fabin's charges.

Legon Cities will play as guests to Great Olympics in week 23 on Sunday, while Aduana FC will welcome Real Tamale United to Dormaa two days before.
