Medeama SC fought hard to secure a crucial point at the Aliu Mahama Stadium against Real Tamale United on Wednesday night.
Substitute Derrick Fordjour scored on the 71st minute to cancel out an early strike from Mankuyeli Mohammed, aiding Medeama to hold Real Tamale United to a one-all draw.
The host commenced the fixture on a good note to mount pressure on the back line of Medeama SC to concede the opener through a header from Mankuyeli Mohammed on the 4th minute of the game.
Mankuyeli Mohammed calmly snatched the opener for Real Tamale United via a decent cross delivered into the 18-yard box of the visitors by Iddrisu Gaddafi.
Medeama SC had a lot of defensive duties following the fearsome attacks launched by on-loan Hearts of Oak striker Issah Kukah and Manaf Umar.
