Kamaradini Mamudu's second half goal was enough for Medeama SC who inflicted a narrow 1-0 win over Nations FC in an outstanding GPL week three fixture at the Akoon Community Park.

Coach Stephen Gurah made only a change from the team that started against Dreams FC, introducing Nana Kofi Babil for Joshua Agyemang with the remaining players maintained in the line up.

It was a similar thing with Nations FC as coach Kassim Mingle also made only one change in today's starting XI, with I. Antwi making the cut ahead of E.Agyemang this time around.

The first half of the game was mostly an open encounter where both teams opened and came up at each other and had some few chances but couldn't make them count as it finished goalless.

In the second half, the resumption wasn't anything different as both teams attacked right from onset in search of the opener but all had a compact and resolute backline making it tough for any to get the opener.

On the 57th minute, Jean Vital, Boison, Lomotey were all subbed on and just five minutes after their introductions, Medeama SC snatched the opener through Kamaradini Mamudu- just what they have been hunting for.

After 90+5 minutes, the referee brought proceedings to an end as Medeama SC secured first home win of the season and second in all.

They have two wins now, two defeats, and a draw after five matches and have climbed up from the foot of the league log to the 13th position with seven points and still have another game in hand.
