Nsoatreman FC have moved up on the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League log after a massive 3-0 home victory over Accra Lions at the Nana Kronmansah Park.
The Nsoatre based outfit secured ninth win of their maiden season after trouncing Accra Lions in the match-week 22 fixture on Sunday afternoon.
The home side ended the five-game unbeaten streak of Accra Lions with an impressive performance in this afternoon's fixture in Nsoatre.
Nsoatreman FC, aiming to finish among the best teams in their maiden Premier League campaign, went ahead after the half-hour mark through Nana Kwame Junior. He brilliantly opened the score for the host on the 31st minute after slotting the ball past goalkeeper Andrews Owusu.
Former AshantiGold SC forward Mark Agyekum doubled the lead for Nsoatreman FC with fine strike to the roof of the post when Baba Mahama broke the offside trap of the left flank and centered the ball for Agyekum to fire the second goal on the 42nd minute.
Accra Lions were two-goal down in the first half of the match.
The third goal on the 56th minute was of the utmost simplicity, with Ushau Abu registering his name on the score sheet with a thunderbolt strike to complete their win before hour-mark.
Accra Lions made late incursions with the hopes of reducing the deficit but their efforts proved futile as the fixture ended in a 3-0 win for Nsoatreman FC.
Accra Lions remains at second position on the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League table with 37 points while Nsoatreman FC occupies ninth position with 30 points after match-week 22.
