Match Day 1 of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League kicked off yesterday (Saturday) with the euphoria living up to the billing.

On Sunday, at the Aliu Mahama stadium, Real Tamale United failed to ignite their home right in their first game of the campaign as they were held to a 0-0 draw stalemate by newbies FC Samartex.

Both clubs missed out on the few good scoring opportunities that came their way in a keenly contested game that ended in a tie.

The draw ployed RTU to the 7th spot on 1 point whilst Samartex lurks on the 8th spot with 1 point as-well.

An RTU victory would have been great for the Northern Blues as it would have given them sole possession to climb up the summit.

Real Tamale United will travel to Tarkwa to slug-it-out with Medeama on match day 2 and they will look forward to up their game and give more than their best for the maximum points to catch up with the rest of the clubs on the league log.
