With the GPL top pecking wide opened for the plucking, but surprisingly’ most of the teams are unable to score and win convincingly as it seems the legs of the chunky strikers in the league has been thrown into an Hippos lake as they are finding it difficult to score, even with an empty net, Tamale City needing a win to climbed off from the relegation dungeon, but Samartex held them at bay to strengthen the fire in their road woes as they played out a goalless stalemate at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi.
Samartex failed to go for the win at home as the visiting Citizens managed to pick up a point.
The tie was the 8th in a row for the Timber Giants who have won just thrice at home this season.
For Tamale City, it was an improved performance, especially after failing to close out the deal at Bibiani last weekend as they let Gold Stars come back from behind to notch two quick goals to pick up all three points.
Samartex has the 11th spot on 20 points whilst Tamale City have the 17th spot with 12 points.
