Tamale City have finally ended their three-game winless run with an emphatic 3-1 win over Dreams FC in an exciting GPL week 22 tie at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
The Golden Eagles with an explosive start to the game having surprisingly taken a two goal lead in the opening ten minutes- one which no one anticipated.
The deadlock of the game was broken by the host in just three minutes from kickoff through Nafiu Sulemana.
Just four minutes after, Sampson fired into the back of the net once again to double Tamale City's lead and leave the stadium in complete raptures.
Dreams FC all this while looked completely off in the game but later found their rhythm and nearly scored but Gael Aholou's towering header was dealt with nicely by goalkeeper Pongo Agbeko.
Back from the break, the 'Still Believe' lads resumed on stronger note in search for the levellers but most of their early attempts couldn't count.
However on the 63rd minute, Tamale City got their third through Sampson Eduku who scored with a cool finish to mark his brace.
Dreams FC managed to pull one back through substitute Ali Huzaif who scored from the spot.
It ended 3-1 for Tamale City who have now moved out of the relegation zone and are currently sitting 15th on the log with 24 points.
