Legon Cities were unable to make headway as they were held to a 1-1 draw by the relegation threatened Tamale City who put up a red eye performance against their experienced opponents at the El-Wak stadium in Accra.
It was an entertaining match with both sides failing to capitalize on the few chances that came begging.
Kofi Kordzi’s 37th minute goal gave the Royals the opener before unmissable goal monger - Sampson Eduku equalized 12 minutes later.
Cities have annexed the 14th spot with 22 points. The Citizens are manning the second relegation spot (17th) with 20 points and will have to work hard to survive their first year in the topflight.
