Asante Kotoko demonstrated their superiority with an emphatic 4-1 victory over lower-tier team Sporting Time in a friendly match held at Adako Jachie Park on Thursday.

The purpose of the friendly fixture was to aid Coach Abdul Gazale's team in their preparations for their upcoming league clash against Karela United FC in week 32 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League. The highly anticipated match is set to take place on Monday, May 29, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Right from the kickoff, Asante Kotoko showcased their attacking prowess and swiftly took control of the game. The team's captain, Richard Boadu, along with Enoch Morrison, Clinton Opoku, and Sarfo Taylor, all found the back of the net, highlighting their dominance. The collective effort of the players ensured a convincing victory for the Porcupine Warriors.

Although Sporting Time managed to score a consolation goal from a penalty in the dying stages of the match, it posed no significant challenge to Asante Kotoko's dominant performance.

With a strong 3-1 triumph over Kotoku Royals earlier in the week, Asante Kotoko has reclaimed the fourth position in the league standings, accumulating a total of 47 points from 31 games.

These consecutive wins will undoubtedly boost the team's confidence as they prepare to face Karela United in their upcoming match.
