Nsoatreman FC finally picked their first ever topflight win over Asante Kotoko on their fourth attempt after recording a narrow 1-0 in match-day 8.

Coach Ogum made only two changes in the line up introducing Kyei Dwamena and 16-year-old Richmond Opoku to take the places of Augustine Agyapong and Richmond Lamptey

On the other hand, Maxwell Konadu named strong starting XI that comprised of inform Abdul Manaf Umar, Adu Meider, Philip Ofori, Steven Diyou and others.

Both teams initially had a sloppy start to the game and took them some time before settling down really well.

It was an open first half with Nsoatreman FC slightly on top in terms of dominance and eventually got themselves the opener on the 42nd minute through Stephen Diyou who tapped in from Manaf's cross at a close range.

After going down, Henry Ansu momentarily, was shown a second yellow card, leaving Kotoko with a numerical disadvantage.

In the second half, the home team once again returned on a good note and had gone goal on two occasions before the 60th minute mark but great reflexes from Danlad Ibrahim didn't make things worse for the giants.

Kotoko also exhibited some form of eagerness in search of the leveller and made some attempts on goal but mostly struggles to penetrate the opposition defence.

The 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' side in the last fifteen minutes were really enjoying themselves, having kept the ball to themselves and displaying some sumptuous possessive football to the home fans.

In a quest to getting the equalizer, Sheriff whipped a decent cross towards Kalo Ouattara but a great intervention stop from Daniel Afadwo ensured the hosts have their lead intact on the 80th minute.

It ended 1-0 for Nsoatreman FC who have moved to the summit of the league with 16 points.
