Asante Kotoko produced a five star display to grind their second victory in the new GPL season after bossing the Ashanti Regional derby with an emphatic 0-3 win over King Faisal.  

The Porcupine Warriors begun on a higher note after Dickson Afoakwah raced his way through to send in a cross but was repelled for a wasted corner kick.

On the 11th minute, Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala opened the scoring account after connecting from Dickson Afoakwah's cross. Just what they have been hunting for.
 
King Faisal looked really off in the game as they have been left to chase only shadows especially in the opening minutes of the game.
 
John Tedeku picked goal scorer, Mukwala in the box but was clipped down in the box for a penalty. Skipper Richard Boadu went in for a power to double the lead.
 
Back from the break, the 'Kum Apem' lads returned on an explosive note and looked like completing the riots after Nicholas Mensah scored to make it 3-0.
 
The homesters with their first dangerous attempt on goal after Adom Antwi was fouled just at the edge the box. The delivery was checked by Andrews Appau. 
 
On the 54th minute, Emmanuel Nketia send a decent one but was dealt with nicely by goalkeeper Frederick Asare.
 
It ended 0-3 for Asante Kotoko after full time, who grind their second win of the season.
