Seasoned gaffer Maxwell Konadu has completed his switch to Ghanaian champions Bibiani GoldStars, with contract signed already after agreement was reached between both parties, pending official announcement.

Out-gone coach Frimpong Manso, who won them their first ever league title last season, was shown the exit door following their 0-2 loss to Algerian side JS Kabylie but subsequently suffered a 5-0 defeat in the second to exit the CAF Champions League in the first preliminary round.

There has been series of reportage linking the former Black Galaxies coach to the vacant job and Kumasi-based Akoma FM are reporting that he’s agreed to pen down a two-year deal with the Miners after a fruitful negotiation and is set to commence work very soon.

The current Black Satellites coach will be returning to club football coaching with a wealth of experience from both club and international football. He has managed several Ghana Premier League sides, including Asante Kotoko, Eleven Wonders, Legon Cities, and most recently Nsoatreman FC.

Konadu’s coaching résumé includes guiding Kotoko to the Ghana Premier League title in 2012 and lifting the President’s Cup in 2019. He also led the Black Galaxies to WAFU Zone B Championships in 2013 and 2017. More recently, he etched his name into Nsoatreman’s history books by steering them to their first-ever MTN FA Cup title in 2023/24.
