Medeama SC head coach Nebojsa Kapor says his side deserved the win against Basake Holy Stars on MatchDay 4 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase.
The Yellow and Mauves defeated the Premier League new entrants 2-1. Medeama defender Kamaradini Mamudu scored the opener in the 58th minute before Holy Stars fired an equaliser three minutes later through Isaah Yakubu.
However, Medeama dusted the game off with the win as experienced striker Diawisie Taylor notched in the 66th minute to make it 2-1 which later planned out to be the winning goal, Securing all the three maximum points for the Yellow and Mauves.
“I will congratulate my players for this victory. It’s a deserved victory and congratulations to the fans, who came here to support us. We are playing for the fans and of course, this win is for all of us,” he said.
Medeama will sit at home and welcome Heart of Lions to the TnA Stadium in a MatchDay Five clash on Saturday, September 5.
