Central midfielder Francis Twene has left Ghana Premier League side Bechem United following the expiration of his contract, ending a five-year spell with the club.

The 24-year-old is now a free agent and has attracted interest from at least two top-flight Ghanaian clubs, Kickgh.com can confirm. Talks are ongoing as the midfielder weighs his next move ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

Twene joined Bechem United in 2020 from Berekum Chelsea and became a key cog in the midfield of the Hunters.

The midfield lynchpin is known for his ball-winning ability and work rate. He played a pivotal role in the club’s consistent top-half finishes in recent campaigns.

His departure marks the latest change in a summer of transition for Bechem United.
