Board Member, Vincent Sowah Odotei believes that some mischievous people are misleading the some supporters against Hearts of Oak.
He further insisted that records available shows that he and Alhaji Akambi are wrongly crucified.
Hearts of Oak secured their first victory in the Ghana Premier League against Bibiani Gold Stars by 2:1.
Second half strikes from Isaac Mensah and Gladson Awako completed Hearts of Oak comeback after going down in the first half.
Hearts of Oak were eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup by Malian side AS Bamako on 3:1 aggregate.
Supporters charged against the board of the club as they attributed Hearts of Oak's woes to Alhaji Braimah Akambi and Vincent Sowah Odotei.
Board Chairman, Togbe Afede defended the duo as he insists that they are loyal and dedicated to the club's course.
Afterwards, the board announced Bernard Gyebi as the new general manager to steer the daily affairs of the club and assigned Alhaji and Vincent Sowah Odotei to continue to oversee the Pobiman project.
Vincent Sowah Odotei said: "The data and records show completely otherwise of what some of the supporters are saying. Me and Alhaji Akambi never influence selection, we hardly even go to the training grounds," he said on Luv FM.
‘’We hardly talk to coach Boadu, he doesn’t share his selection with us before matches for us to even have a chance to tell him what to do.
‘’So, all the things that people are saying, they’re just being misled, as Togbe said, some people who seem to be close to the team yet far away from the team are just being mischievous and just feeding the supporters with things that will make sure this club goes back,’ he added.
