Asante Kotoko forward Morifing Donzo has finally arrived in Ghana on the dusk of Saturday and will very soon be linking up with the club for pre-season preparations.
The Guinean striker’s arrival comes after uncertainty surrounding his future, having failed to report at the start of pre-season following reports that he wanted his contract terminated.
Donzo is now expected to join new head coach Eric Tinkler and his teammates as the Porcupine Warriors continue preparations for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The 28-year-old joined Kotoko from Guinean side Hafia FC in August 2025 on a three-year contract and featured regularly during his debut campaign with the club.
He made 31 appearances across all competitions last season, including 27 in the Ghana Premier League and four in the CAF Confederation Cup, scoring five goals.
His return provides a timely boost for Kotoko as Tinkler continues to shape his squad ahead of the new campaign, with the club aiming to challenge for domestic honours after narrowly missing out last season.
