Eric Nii Baah, a former goalkeeper of Asante Kotoko, has expressed his discontent with the club's current state.

As he assessed the team's performance at the end of the 2022/23 football season, he revealed his difficulty in even watching their games.

In an interview with Akoma FM, Eric Nii Baah highlighted a major challenge faced by Asante Kotoko – the lack of quality in the team's style of play.

He firmly believes that many of the players currently in the squad are not up to the standards required to wear the jersey of this prestigious club.

According to him, watching the current players in action is disappointing, as their gameplay lacks the necessary quality. This, he asserts, has been a recurrent issue for Kotoko recently.

“If one watches players playing Kotoko currently is something else, you don't see any quality in their play and this has been Kotoko's challenge recently.

“Most of the players are not good enough to play for Kotoko,” Eric Nii Baah said.

With the desire to improve the situation for the upcoming season, Asante Kotoko is reportedly in discussions to form a new board and management team to take charge of the club's affairs.

The aim is to revamp the team and bring about positive changes that will lead to better results on the field.
