Eric Osei Bonsu scored in extra time to make amends for the chances they squandered earlier in the match to lift Nsoatreman FC to a breathless 1-0 victory over Karela United and into the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
Nsoatreman’s victory at Nana Amoah Koronmansah II Park kept alive their only hope of silverware this season and spoiled Karela’s dreams of hoisting a trophy in newly appointed handler Abukari Damba’s short time as head coach of the team.
Both side’s dished out good football but the home side poured on the pressure in the first and second half of extra time as Karela forced the match to extra time. However, the ‘Tete Amanaso’ were able to keep their foot on the gas as they put the game to bed with a 1-0 win.
Maxwell Konadu’s side will know their opponent in the semis after Sunday's FA Cup matches or when Dreams FC play Soccer Intellectuals at a later date as they will be in action in the CAF Confederations Cup this weekend.
