Nations FC tactician Kassim Mingle has bemoaned his attackers lack of knack for goals and squad depth as a reason for them failing off in winning the just ended Division One League Super Cup title.

Mingle's team will compete in the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, as they will need to make a mark for their first season in Ghana's elite division.

As they look to keep pace with the other 17-clubs and ensure they are equipped and remain in the league after securing a quick qualification to domestic top-tier club competition.

However, while the defence and midfield has shown improvement under his leadership, the 66-year-old is worried about his team’s lack of firepower upfront.

“We are not playing badly. Our build up from the back to the third half to everywhere is perfect but only the chances that we are wasting. If we have been adding goal scoring to it, every match we can score 3 or 4,” Mingle admitted.

“You people have been watching our games. See the number of chances we have been squandering. So, that’s where we have to work very hard,” he added.

Nations FC will travel to the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu to muscle it with Dreams FC on Wednesday, September 20 2023.
