Nations FC head coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle has stated that his team won’t be easily defeated when they face Asante Kotoko in a highly anticipated Ghana Premier League clash.
The Abrankese-based club will meet the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium for their matchday 11 fixture.
Mingle’s side has been impressive in the 2024/25 Premier League season, securing five wins, four draws, and just one loss from 10 matches. As they prepare to challenge Kotoko, Mingle acknowledged the difficulty of the task but asserted that Nations FC will not be pushovers.
"Asante Kotoko are like senior brothers to us, but on the field, we’ll put seniority aside," Mingle remarked. "The team that plays well and has luck on their side will win the day. It’s up to the pitch to decide."
He added, "They’ll come out strong, aiming to make their fans proud, but we won’t back down. It’s going to be a tough game."
Currently sitting second on the league table with 19 points, Nations FC are just one point behind leaders Bibiani Goldstars, making Sunday’s encounter a crucial one in the title race.
