Nations FC head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has expressed delight in getting their first win of the season and confessed there was so much pressure after losing their opening game.
The Eagles grinded their first ever win in the topflight last Sunday after humbling Samartex FC by 2-0 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex and will hope to build on that going forward.
The newbies opened the scoring account through Barimah Baah, before Amadou Diarra sealed the win in the second half.
In a post-match interview, the experienced trainer feels very excited for the win, admitted it has eased pressure and will look to secure more wins in their subsequent matches.
"We really needed this win, especially after our tough loss in the first game. Our mindset coming into this match was crystal clear. We were here to play for the win. We gave it our all out there on the pitch."
Nations FC will travel to Tarkwa to face the champions Medeama SC in the next round of matches on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
