Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojsa Kapor has expressed his satisfaction after the Phobians returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Port City FC in the Ghana Premier League.

Frank Abora Duku’s 20th minute header was enough to hand the Rainbow Club all three points.

The result brought an end to ‘Phobians’ three-game winless run after a recent difficult spell in the competition despite a good start.

The Bosnian gaffer admitted that injuries had caused problems for his side ahead of the encounter, making the victory more important than the quality of the performance.

“I’m really happy. My players faced lots of problems with injuries. We didn’t expect a nice game, we scored early goal,” the coach said.

Hearts struggled to maintain control after taking the lead, but Kapor was pleased with the players’ ability to secure the three points despite the challenges they faced during the match.

“We couldn’t control afterwards but most important thing is to win,” he added, praising the team’s response after three matches without a victory.

Hearts of Oak will now host their regional rivals Vision FC in the next round of matches.
