Hearts of Oak coach Nebojsa Kapor has challenged his players to improve their mentality and awareness as they look to bounce back from their defeat to Debibi United against Heart of Lions.

The Phobians saw their three-match winning run come to an end last weekend after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Debibi Presby Park, dealing a blow to their Ghana Premier League campaign.

With consistency now a major concern, Kapor believes his players must learn from their mistakes through video analysis and focused training sessions.

Kapor believes creating a positive environment and improving the players' mindset will be important in helping Hearts return to winning ways.

"I'm really sure that psychologically and on the mentality side, we have to go step by step. The first thing is to create a good and perfect [environment], because you know, in football, many things are very sensitive, and sometimes people are offended if you are attacking them or if you are trying to explain what is going on.

"But analysis is the first step and the most important step when we are trying to present, through video sessions, something where we made mistakes and how the situation should be on the [pitch]. Awareness is the first step.

"So this awareness, I'm sure we will bring, and with a good, strong and positive mentality, we will face the next game," he added.

Hearts currently sit third in the league standings, just one point behind leaders Medeama, and will be determined to return to winning ways as they welcome Heart of Lions on Sunday.

However, the visitors will arrive with confidence after securing a 2-1 victory over Bechem United last weekend, setting the stage for a fire showdown for Kapor's side.
