Nigerian midfielder Fernando Wisdom Bassey has finally been granted clearance to play in the Ghana Premier League after successfully securing his work permit.
Bassey, who signed with Asante Kotoko as a free agent, impressed during pre-season but missed the Porcupine Warriors' 1-0 victory over Karela United in the league opener due to the permit delay.
The 22-year-old is now available for selection and could make his much-anticipated debut in the coming fixtures. However, fans may need to wait a bit longer, as Kotoko's next match against Nsoatreman has been postponed.
The rescheduling allows Nsoatreman to focus on their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup tie against Algeria's CS Constantine.
