Head of strategic committee of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Odotei Sowah has revealed that his outfit were ready to spend any amount quoted for the transfer of three most influential players in the Ghana Premier League

Accra Hearts of Oak sent a bid of $80,000 for the transfer of Sadick Adams from Berekum Chelsea to Accra Hearts of Oak but for the changed of mind of Nana Kwame Nketsia of Chelsea, the deal failed to materialize.

Chelsea insisted more of the amount which Hearts of Oak were ready to pay after convincing Board Chairman of the club Tobge Afedi why the club should pay an amount of $100,000 but Chelsea had other ideas of not making the deal happen.

"We decided to pay $80,000 for Sadick Adams but Nana Kwame called for $100,000 so I gave Tobge reasons why we should pay for the deal (which he agreed)." Odotei Sowah told Kumasi based Nhyira FM

"One the day of registration Nana Kwame told us he will not sell him again claiming that he has found a foreign offer for him so he will rather prefer that." He continued.

He also said Hearts of Oak already signed a pre-contract with Medeama's midfield dynamo, Malik Akowuah which they were willing to offered him "double of what he received at the Tarkwa side".

Accra Hearts of Oak failed to sign any of the players including Aduana SC's Yahaya Mohammed who was also among the targeted players for the club but signed for a Mexican second tier side immediately after the first round of the league.

The continental club masters signed three additional players to augment their squad for the rest of the season which include former Liberty Professionals left back Kassenu Ghandi and Tamale Utrecht's Patrick Razak.
