Highly-rated goalkeeper, Osei Kwadwo Bonsu has completed his move to Ghanaian topflight side Accra Lions FC, with few days left to the commencement of the 2024/25 football season.

Official club statement on Facebook reads;

"Accra Lions have completed the signing of goalkeeper Osei Kwadwo Bonsu. The experienced shot-stopper joins us from Accra Hearts of Oak. Welcome to Accra Lions, Osei!"

The 24-year-old hasn't played competitively for over a year now but has definitely been training extensively looking very poised and ready for this challenge.

The stalwart goalkeeper has been a household name in the topflight for the past five seasons having featured for Berekum Chelsea and relegated side West African Football Academy.

Bonsu, has played 36 league matches since making his debut in the Ghanaian topflight, having conceded 42 goals and has kept 11 clean sheets within that period.

He was clubless just recently after ending his stay with giants Hearts of Oak- where he joined in the middle of last season but was not giving much playing time.

Accra Lions FC after a second-place finish last season, will aim better this time and will start it with a visit to Medeama SC at the new TnA Stadium on Sunday, September 8.
