Ghana Premier League reigning champions Asante Kotoko have announced the departure of Brazilian international Fabio Gama after the end of the 2021/22 season.
The club statement reads “Fabio Gama leaves Asante Kotoko after the expiration of his contract. Fabio informed Management at the end of the season of his desire to explore other opportunities elsewhere after two successful season with the Club.”
The attacking midfielder after exhausting his contract with the Ghanaian champions refused to extend his contract with the Kumasi-based football club.
The Brazilian footballer signed a two-year contract with Asante Kotoko in October 2020 and had since been a key member of the Kumasi-based Premier League outfit.
He played an instrumental role in Asante Kotoko’s triumph of winning the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
Gama featured 48 times for the Porcupines in the league in two seasons and netted 5 goals and recorded 5 assists
