Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex 1996 have announced the signing of Hearts of Oak defender Kofi Agbesimah on a free transfer ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
Agbesimah, finally sealed this switch after terminating his contract with giants Hearts of Oak- where he joined last summer but pushed for an exit right after the campaign with the reasons best known to the player.
The 27-year-old after a fruitful negotiations between both parties a d has signed a contract that will keep him at Samreboi until 2026.ย

"We are delighted to announce that experienced center-back Kofi Agbesimah has joined us permanently on a two-year deal from Accra Hearts of Oak.
"His acquisition will ultimately invigorate the defense with unmatched experience and add a new dimension to the team."
The lanky center-back had an impactful five-year tenure with Bechem United, where he joined in 2018 and subsequently held the esteemed position of team captain for almost three seasons before his departure last summer.
In the just-finished season, the stalwart defender was quiet impressive in the Rainbow colours having made 30 league appearances- starting in all those with a goal to his belt.
The Timber Giants are still in serious preparations towards the upcoming season and will face Cameroonian side TP Elect Sport FC in the first preliminary round of the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.
