Medeama, the reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League, have bolstered their squad by completing the signing of midfielder Godknows Dzakpasu from Tamale City.
The talented midfielder has committed to a three-year contract with the Yellow and Mauves, keeping him at the club until 2026.
Following their triumph in the 2022-2023 Ghana Premier League season, Medeama is keen to reinforce their team ahead of their upcoming campaign in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League, where they aim to make a strong impact.
Dzakpasu showcased his skills and proved his worth throughout Tamale City's season, even impressing in the final match against the champions in Tarkwa. Despite his outstanding performances in the midfield, Tamale City faced relegation.
During the previous season, the 26-year-old made 28 appearances for Tamale City and scored 2 goals.
Medeama aspires to replicate their record in the 2016 CAF Confederations Cup, where they reached the group stage but narrowly missed out on qualification. They faced tough competition from TP Mazembe and Algerian side OM Bejaia, while Young Africans placed last in their group.
With their sights set on success, Medeama is determined to make an impact in the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign and build upon their previous achievements.
