Accra Hearts of Oak have officially unveiled Portuguese Sergio Traguil as the new head coach of the club.
Traguil was unveiled at the club’s secretariat on Thursday afternoon, with Board Member Frank Nelson, team manager Sarban Quaye and Strategic Committee Chairman Odotei Sowah all present during the unveiling.
Sergio, the Portuguese trainer who was formally contracted to take over the club’s U20 and U17, Auroras and Royal Oaks, had to replace Kenichi Yatsuhashi who has mutually parted ways with the 'Never Say Die' football club nine months into his two years contract.
This will be Traguil’s second job in Africa after earlier coaching a premiership club in Nigeria.
Speaking at his unveiling, Traguil said pressure don't exist;
“ I think pressure don’t exist in football in my opinion, I am doing the job that I love so how can I be under pressure, I was born for this".
“Pressure is when the month is coming to an end and you realized you don’t have anything to give your children and family, for me that is pressure."
“I am here to try my best, whether the youth teams or the main team, I will do my best and get the club to a respectable place.” he added.
Traguil will face Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 26, in the matchday 16 Premier league fixture as his first game.
