Ghana Premier League newbies Vision FC have announced the signing of former Hearts of Oak striker Issah Akuka Salifu ahead of the 2024/25 season.

With Vision announcing he is joining on a multi-year deal on their official website, it is also reported Akuka agreed to a two-year contract after a fruitful negotiations between both parties.

The 22-year-old was just released by giants Hearts of Oak in what is described as limited playing time with the player himself unwilling to continue and asked for a new challenge elsewhere.

The enterprising forward has contributed 19 goals in his 51 Ghana Premier League appearances so far and has a season best of 11 goals and an assist in the 2022/23 season for Real Tamale United.

His outstanding display subsequently earned him a loan spell at North Macedonian side FC Shkupi- where he contributed 4 goals in 10 matches before returning to his mother club in the second round of the 2023/24 campaign.

Issah Akuka Salifu is expected to come in with the experience and exposure he's gotten so far to add up to the fire ammunition of the 'Ewuo' family who are preparing for their first ever topflight campaign.

He is most likely to mark his debut this afternoon when Vision FC face Young Apostles in the semi final of the ongoing Division One League Super Cup.
