Emmanuel Gyasi Atuahene, the Communications Director of Bechem United, has stated that the club's goal is to qualify for the CAF Champions League next season. Bechem United is currently in second place on the league table in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
They are three points behind league leaders Aduana Stars after playing 29 games. Atuahene, in an interview with Citi Sports, emphasized the team's ambitions and expressed satisfaction with their performance so far.
He revealed that the club had a plan to represent Ghana in either the Champions League or the Confederation Cup within the shortest possible time, which they started executing three seasons ago.
Atuahene expressed confidence that the club would achieve their objective.
“For Bechem United, we are not surprised at all because we had a plan and the plan was to represent Ghana at either the Champions League level or Confederation Cup level within the shortest possible time and we started with this plan three seasons ago," he said.
"We believe everyone is playing his part according to the plan and it’s just a matter of time. For us, we are not surprised with our performance this season and we believe that we will surely get there," he added.
Bechem United will play Medeama SC at Akoon Park on Sunday in their matchday 30 game, with the game set to start at 15:00GMT.
