According to deepthroat sources, Sulley Muntari could join arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on a free transfer this summer.

The former Ghana international has been a faithful servant to the Phobians for six months, where he played under manager - Samuel Boadu, occupying a key role under his tutelage.

With his contract at the Rainbow club already expired, Muntari is yet to pen new deal, which had led to speculation regarding his future.

Hearts of Oak boss Samuel Boadu is keen to keep the 37-year-old. Although there were reports of the club reaching a breakthrough in negotiations, it is yet to translate into a contract.

His situation has attracted the attention of Asante Kotoko, with the Kum-Apem lads now appearing to be in pole position to sign him.

Kickgh.com understands that Muntari wants to start-off with a bang at Asante Kotoko ahead of the the 2022/23 season. His signing will be crucial in Kotoko's efforts to qualify into the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
