Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has officially announced his 20-man squad for the highly anticipated Ghana Premier League matchday 6 clash against Legon Cities.
This fixture, rescheduled due to Kotoko’s recent trip to the USA, is set to take place on Wednesday, October 30, at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The squad features two goalkeepers, Camara Mohammed and Frederick Asare, who will compete for the starting role in goal. With defensive solidity crucial for success, coach Ogum has included key defenders such as Joseph Ablorh, Justice Blay, and Gilbani Samba O’Neil, who are expected to provide leadership and stability at the back.
In midfield, Emmanuel Kotei and Godfred Kodua will be pivotal in controlling the game's tempo and disrupting the opposition's play. They will be supported by Kyei Dwamena Michael and Emmanuel Antwi, who add versatility to the midfield, capable of contributing both defensively and offensively.
Up front, Kotoko's attacking trio of Peter Amidu Acquah, Saaka Dauda, and Wisdom Fernando Bassey promises pace and creativity, aiming to generate numerous scoring opportunities. The depth in the squad is further bolstered by players like Baba Yahaya, Albert Amoah, and Elvis Kyei Baffour, all of whom can make significant impacts in their respective roles.
