Asante Kotoko recorded a 2-1 victory over lower-tier side True Democracy on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in the quarterfinal of the MTN FA Cup.
Former Bofoakwa Tano captain Saaka Dauda and Kwame Opoku clinched the victory for the Porcupines.
Speaking after the game, 47-year-old Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said he was relishing the chance to win more silverware with the Ghana Premier League giants.
"The aim of every coach is to win trophies, the aim of every player is to win trophies so that one day you can be remembered.
“To me, we have to take it game by game. We are going to play against Berekum Chelsea in the semis. We have to now switch our attention to the league.
“When the time is due, we refocus on that but I want to tell you we are working harder to make sure we get the results."
Meanwhile, the Semifinals of the MTN FA Cup is scheduled to be played in two weeks time at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.
