David Ocloo, the assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, expressed disappointment with the performance of the central referee following their loss to Heart of Lions.

Asante Kotoko suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Heart of Lions, with Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah scoring the decisive goal in the 52nd minute of the matchday 18 fixture at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Saturday.

After the game, Ocloo raised concerns about the quality of officiating, emphasizing the importance of improvement among match officials.

"While I wouldn't want to dwell too much on the referee's decisions, it's evident that there were issues that affected the outcome of the match," Ocloo stated. "For our football to progress, we need our referees to perform at a higher level," he added.

Following the loss, Asante Kotoko currently occupies the 3rd position in the league table with 29 points.

The team will aim to bounce back to winning ways in their next fixture against Bibiani Gold Stars on March 3rd at the Baba Yara Stadium.
