Hearts of Oak have adopted the WAFA Arena in Sogakope as their new home grounds ahead of the second phase of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

The 'Phobians' played the entire first round at their usual base Accra but moved their home matches to Kumasi in the latter part of the first round due to Christmas events last December.

With few weeks to the commencement of the second phase of the season, Kickgh.com is reliably informed that the Rainbow Club will use the beautiful facility in Sogakope for their remaining home games due to the upcoming African Games which starts next month.

It is not confirmed yet as to whether they will return their home matches to the capital after the games or will stay there for the remainder of the season.

Hearts of Oak finished the first round on a very appalling note having won just four games and finished on the 11th position with 21 points after 17 matches.

They have already engaged in two friendly matches having drawn against Swedru All Stars before redeeming themselves over the weekend with a comeback win over Techiman Eleven Wonders, to test their strength and readiness for the second round.
