Hearts of Oak's arduous chase to sign Bechem United midfielder Francis Twene has collapsed despite series of negotiations that has transpired between the two parties since the wrap of last season.
Initially, the player himself confirmed there was an approach with a wide range of speculations already linking him to switch to the capital but the deal went off inevitably in the final days, per reports.
According to Ghanaian football transfer expert Mohammed Shaban, the move couldn't materialize mainly due to disagreement between both parties in clauses to be included in the contract after the 'Phobians' had finalised everything with Bechem United.
He stated that, Hearts of Oak offered the player in question a five year contract after everything has been agreed but his representatives rather opted for three years.
The conflict went on for sometime now until both Hearts of Oak and the player's camp unanimously agreed to call off the deal.
Twene would have come in as a natural midfielder and offer some more competitions for minutes in a midfield comprising of some notable talents in the Ghanaian top tier.
The 21-year-old joined the Hunters in 2020 and has featured in over 50 games, playing a vital role in the club, helping them to reach the final of the FA Cup this year and is most likely he will continue with them heading into the 2022/23 season.
