Accra Hearts of Oak are contemplating on ending their relationship with attacking duo Isaac Mensah and Kwadwo Obeng Jr at the end of the season, per speculations.
According to Ghanasoccernet.com, the 'Phobians' are not impressed at all with the outputs of the players and are willing to offload them in what they described as poor performance and are ready for a massive squad shake up at the end of the ongoing season.
Kwadwo Obeng joined the Rainbow Club in 2018 from Nea Salamina FC whereas Isaac Mensah also arrived two years later after an impressive spell with lower-division side Nkoranza Warriors.
The two players have contributed to just five goals so far in the league; with Obeng scoring only two so as Mensah who has an assist included.
They both played an integral role in helping Hearts of Oak clinch the domestic treble in the 2020/21 season but have been really abysmal in recent times.
The 21-time Ghanaian champions are hoping for a total overhaul at the end of the season starting with these two players with others to follow subsequently as they look to establish a redoubtable side for the 2023/24 campaign.
Hearts of Oak's position on the table isn't impressive at all as they currently sit 11th with 45 points. They will have to avoid a defeat on Sunday against Berekum Chelsea at Golden City Park to secure survival.
