Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richmond Lamptey has sustained another injury and is most likely to be sidelined again with the extent of his absence this time yet to be determined.
He sadly sustained another injury in Kotoko's preparatory friendly against lower division side Namoro Academy last Wednesday at Paa Joe Park- a game they emerged 4-0 victors.
He made the line up and was on the scoresheet as well, alongside new captures Bernard Somuah and brace hero Kalo Ouattara, but couldn't enjoy full throttle, having sustained an injury in the course of the game.
The 26-year-old resumed training just weeks ago and was hoping for his first start in the next round of matches but looks like he will have to wait a little on sidelines.
The mercurial midfielder was introduced in their drawn game against Karela United last Sunday night and was hoping for his first start this season against Accra Lions in match-day four on Monday.
Reports say, his injury looks a little serious and that has made a strong doubt for the game and is most likely he will miss the trip to the capital this weekend.
Prosper Narteh and his men will chase their first win of the new season this time, after drawing two, coupled with a defeat from their opening three matches.
