Medeama SC have permanently appointed Umar Abdul Rabi as their new substantive head coach ahead of the upcoming season, per reports.

The young gaffer took charge of the Mauves and Yellows early last season heading to week 4 from Ignatius Osei-Fosu, who had just being sacked after their third fixture of the campaign against Eleven Wonders.

He guided Medeama SC to the second position on the league log after the season with 56 points, having leapfrogged Bechem United who had been at that position for almost all season.

Since Rabi's takeover, the two time FA Cup champions 16 wins, six draws and nine defeats out of the total 31 matches he supervised.

However, his impressive works has finally impressed club President Moses Armah 'Parker' who has now officially appointed him as their permanent coach with official announcement very soon.

He will this time around, lead the team into a full preseason session, hoping for a surprise to win them their first ever league title in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
