Abdul Karim Zito spent a brief period as head coach of Asante Kotoko but made a big impact in the Premier League and cup games.

During his time in charge, Zito managed 27 league matches, winning 12, drawing 10, and losing just 5.

But it was in cup competitions that Zito really shone. Under his tutelage, Kotoko lifted four trophies:

MTN FA Cup – 1
President Cup – 1
Toyota Cup – 1
Champion of Champions – 1

Speaking about his time at the club, Zito said, “I have been on the job for barely a year, and I won four trophies. I am very happy about it.”

Even though he has left, Zito’s record shows a successful and steady period for Kotoko, with good league results and cup wins.

Kotoko are now being led temporarily by assistant coaches Prince Yaw Owusu and Hamza Obeng, who will try to keep the team performing well after Zito.

Zito’s tenure may have been short but his impact on Kotoko will be remembered by fans for winning trophies and maintaining a strong league record.
