Richard Boadu, is a former Asante Kotoko captain and has recently been linked with a return after spells in Libya but might have had his move hit snag due to certain reasons

The 26-year-old enjoyed an incredible five-year stay in the Ghanaian topflight having featured for both Medeama SC and giants Asante Kotoko SC within this period.

He's made over 100 Ghana Premier League appearances and was part of Kotoko's winning team in 2021, and was named the team's captain prior to the commencement of the 2022/23 season.

The combative midfielder joined Libyan giants Al Ahli Tripoli subsequently and has been very impressive since his arrival. He later joined Tunisian fold Club Africain but couldn’t get registered for the second phase of last season and ended up joining Al Tahadi FC in Libya on loan

Earlier reports had it that Richard Boadu has been discussed by the Kotoko IMC who firmly believes his presence in their squad will be really malleable especially for their CAF Confederations Cup campaign next season

However, Opemsuo Radio in Kumasi are reporting that his move might not go as planned mainly due to the refusal of his parent club - Club Africain to release him to facilitate the move

Richard Boadu is still in holidays as he looks to make a decision on his future in the coming weeks
