Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu is expected to leave the club at the end of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, according to reports.

The former Hearts of Oak gaffer is set to depart despite leading the Bibires to a sixth-place finish with 50 points.

People close to the club say Berekum Chelsea have already begun looking for a new coach for next season, and discussions are continuing over possible replacements.

Boadu arrived at the club hoping to help Chelsea return to the top level of Ghanaian football after several difficult seasons.

During the season, the team dished out some good performances and comfortably avoided relegation while finishing in the top half of the league table.

However, despite achieving those targets, both the club and the coach now appear ready to go separate ways as Chelsea prepare for a new direction before the 2026/27 season.

The 40-year-old is regarded as one of the most successful young coaches in Ghanaian football. During his time with Hearts of Oak, he won several major domestic trophies, including the Ghana Premier League title and the FA Cup.

An official statement on his expected departure is likely to be announced in the coming days as Berekum Chelsea continue plans to rebuild for next season.
