Head coach of Berekum Chelsea, Samuel Boadu has revealed that despite their 1-1 draw against Accra Lions, it was a difficult match.




In the matchday 6 fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Lions broke the virginity of the game through Ali Mohammed before the Bibires dangerman Stephen Amonkona quickly equalised just three minutes later.



However, Boadu in his post-game interview bemoaned what his lads had to go through in fighting for the point against a youthful Accra Lions team.



"It was a very difficult game. Accra Lions have young players who are energetic, and they possess a strong technical team," Boadu stated.



“What I can say is that there is a lot of improvement. Last season, Accra Lions beat Berekum Chelsea 5-0 at Sogakope. Coming into this game, we prepared well, and I told the players to focus on playing as a team.”



Berekum Chelsea are currently 5th in the league log with 10 points and will be hoping to secure the three points when they host cellar dwelling Legon Cities in matchday 7 fixture.
