Asante Kotoko's Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, believes the club is well-positioned to win the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title.

According to Duku, who doubles as lawyer, only marginal improvements are needed from last season’s performance to secure silverware.

The Porcupine Warriors endured a mixed campaign in 2024/25, finishing third with 58 points, but Duku insists the foundations have already been laid for a stronger challenge next term.

“We've taken our time to sign the best players from the country and will be combining them with some foreign ones. We will only sign young players with a positive outlook, a proven track record, and the ability to attract interest from abroad,” Duku told Akoma FM.

“We will field the best players, and if we are to improve little on last season performance, we will win the league title sooner than anticipated.”

Duku also stated that Kotoko are targeting a positive campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup as they have already begun preparations for the upcoming season, with several new signings expected in key positions.

“As for Africa, it's been a while Kotoko qualified for the group stages, but the goal is to outperform our previous campaign.”

The Kumasi-based giants last won the Ghana Premier League in the 2021/22 season.
