Techiman City FC midfield enforcer, Samuel Kyere, has claimed that his club forged his signature before he played in the first round of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The former Berekum Chelsea combative midfielder said, he never appended any signature on any contractual document between him and Techiman City Football Club.
In an interview with Sunyani-based radio station Suncity FM , the experienced enforcer says, the Brong-Ahafo club never entered into any official contract deal with him.
" To be honest, i had a talk with the club's chairman that as the team progresses, we shall all settle on a consensus based on what will be offered me. But then, series of occurences mounted high pressure on him and so i accepted most of what he proposed to me whilst the season was ongoing. At a point in time, i kept on asking him as when the contractual agreement will be mutually established officially," he narrated.
"I was there when he ordered the welfare to bring me an envelope. When i tore it open, i realized that it was a document attesting to the agreement between me and the team. Afterwards, to my ulter dismay,i saw my signature forged on the agreement deal,"
"I appealed to the welfare and told them that the signature that appeared on the agreement document wasn't mine. But they made me understand that since everything has been signed, there was nothing they could do. So i decided to withdraw the contract since the deal is unprofessional. Upon this, the welfare confirmed that i could act as i was pleased since it's a contract based on condition and for that matter i can decide to continue or bring it to an abrupt end,"
He continued: " All that i know in Football is that, when a club approaches you, the club chairman and the player both sit on one table to have discussion over any contract agreement. It's after this that you can append your signature for the endorsement of the contract,"
"But frankly speaking, i'll not lie and before the start of the season, the chairman who is already my boss came to me and told me that i should hold on till the league kicked start and after that we decide on what to do next,"
"To be honest, if i say he brought me a contract to sign, then i'll be lying to myself as i won't do anything that may land me into trouble someday."
Samuel Kyere is currently in the house after terminating his contract with the premier league debutants.
