The Asante Kotoko board of directors have issued a statement on the purported resignation of the club's head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
The 12-member board of the reigning Ghana Premier League champions, have issued a statement on the news circulating in the local media over the shocking exit of the 44-year-old trainer.
Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum was reported to have announced his decision to leave the Kumasi-based club after an emergency meeting with the board of directors on Wednesday.
Some management of Asante Kotoko namely Emmanuel Dasoberi and Patrick Osei Agyemang confirmed his decision to leave the club unilaterally in an interview with Daily Graphic and Adom TV respectively.
However, the Asante Kotoko's board of directors have shrugged off the reports.
