Ahead of highly-anticipated Sunday's Super-Clash, former Ghana and Hearts of Oak defender Sam Johnson is very confident the game will be an exciting one and will live up to the height on Sunday.

The two giants clubs in the country; Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will battle it out against each other this weekend in match-week 13 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors head into the game with so much confidence having finally halted their four-game losing streak with a precious 0-2 away win at Aduana Stars in the last round of matches.

On the other hand, the 'Phobians' are currently on a four-game unbeaten run with a stunning three-game winning streak in between giving them the hope of claiming the bragging rights over their eternal rivals on Sunday.

Sam Johnson, former Fenerbahçe defender, who has played in this fixture on many occasions is very optimistic the talks, hype and the ample time both teams have had in the last week will definitely see them head in very well prepared and poised and will both sell a very good game for the Ghanaian football fans.

“So when it comes to Hearts of Oak and Kotoko, it's not always about who is in form or whatever, but the best thing is that the fans want to see good football,” Johnson said in an interview played on Asempa FM.

“But I think this time, with the morale that I'm seeing, I think things will be better than before.”

The first Super-Clash of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled for 15:00GMT (3:00pm) on Sunday, December 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium
