Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has called on the club’s passionate supporters to pack the Baba Yara Stadium as they prepare to face archrivals Hearts of Oak in the highly anticipated Super Clash.
The match will take place on matchday 13 of the Ghana Premier League.
Both teams are in need of a positive result: Hearts of Oak are looking to break a three-match losing streak, while Kotoko aims to extend their current winning run. Amoah, who has been in fine form this season, with six goals in 11 appearances, believes the upcoming clash will be a thrilling encounter.
"Our game against Hearts of Oak will be interesting. I will urge the fans to troop to the stadium in their numbers to cheer us up. We promise to give them what they want," Amoah stated.
Currently with the Black Galaxies as they prepare for the CAHN qualifier against Nigeria, Amoah is expected to rejoin Kotoko’s camp ahead of the match. His presence is crucial for the Porcupine Warriors as they look to maintain their momentum.
Asante Kotoko sits in 7th place with 18 points, while Hearts of Oak is just ahead in 6th with 19 points after 12 matches. This Super Clash promises to be a pivotal moment in both teams’ seasons.
